Daily Southern Cross 1875

"DRUNKENNESS- Anthony E Cowen and William Shiels were fined five shillings each and costs." - March 6, 1875.

"DRUNKENNESS- Samuel Weston was fined five shillings and costs,Richard Cahill, Anthony Cowan and George Colville were fined ten shillings each and costs, with the usual alternatives."- March 22, 1875.

"VAGRANCY- Anthony E. Cowan, charged with having no visible means of support, and being a convicted idle and disorderly person,was sent to prison for twelve months with hard labour."- April 14, 1875.
